What is there in every DVD?
======================

Each DVD has following contents

Ganita Folder         : Contains lessons of relevant topics
SOFTWARES Folder : Contains  all the software to be installed to run DVD
start.html              : File which needs to be clicked/opened to run the DVD
instruction.pdf        : A reference booklet which lists topics and DVD number
README-English     : This Readme file
README-Kannada   : various forms of readme file in Kannada

How do I run this DVD? 
===================
This DVD set is "Data DVD". It has text content of Mathematics lessons 
(in PDF, Kannada and English html pages), in addition to video recorded classes. 
Because of this reason these DVDs do not play/run in DVD Players.

This set can only be run on computers having DVD/CD drives (Combo drives) which can read DVDs.

What softwares do I need to view the lessons? 
==================================
  1. Browser such as Internet Explorer(Version 6.0 or above) or Mozilla Firefox
  2. Adobe Flash Player for every browser used
  3. Adobe Acrobat Reader

From where can I download and install the softwares? 
========================================
All the above softwares are available freely and can also be downloaded from the internet. 
For your convenience, these softwares for MS windows OS are also provided in all the DVD's. 

FOR Adobe Flash Player
     OPTION 1 : Go into "SOFTWARES" folder on this DVD and double-click on install_flash_player_ax_MSWindows.exe
     (For MicroSoft Windows operating system and Internet Explorer Browser) 
or install_flash_player_Firefox.exe 
    (For MicroSoft Windows operating system and Mozilla Firefox Browser)  
     OPTION 2 : Goto - http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/  
     (For MicroSoft Windows operating system and Internet Explorer Browser)

    (For other operating systems such as Linux)

FOR Internet Explorer (NOTE: This software runs only on MicroSoft Windows operating system)
     OPTION 1 : Goto - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

FOR Mozilla Firefox
     OPTION 1 : Go into "SOFTWARES" folder on this DVD and double-click on Firefox Setup 3.5.exe  
     (For MicroSoft Windows operating system)   
     OPTION 2 : Goto - Goto http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html 
     (For all operating systems)

What else do I need? 
================
You need to install Nudi KVK font to view the Kannada HTML pages.

FOR MicroSoft Windows operating system:
First go into "SOFTWARES" folder on this DVD. Copy the Nudi font; NUDI KVK E.TTF to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts directory 
or to the Fonts directory where Windows has been installed.

If you are still not able to read the Kannada text properly, do the following:
Step 1: Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts or to the $\Fonts folder where Windows has been installed.
Step 2: Search for NUDI KVK E.TTF file
Step 3: Double click on this file.A window will open.
Step 4: Click "Done" on this window and then reload the webpage you are viewing.

FOR Linux operating system
Step 1 : Go into "SOFTWARES" folder on this DVD. Copy the Nudi font ; NUDI KVK E.TTF to your home directory.
Step 2 : Copy this font from your home directory to the font directory in Linux 
which is normally /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-kannada-fonts. 
If this directory does not exist, first create the directory and then copy the font.
Step 3 : Close and open your browser.

How to start? 
==========
After installing all the required softwares, Double-click/open start.html with Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

IMPORTANT NOTES: 
=================
The lessons are best viewed with monitor set to at least to 1024 pixels by 768 pixels resolution.
For ease of use, we suggest the use of Mozilla Firefox as browser.
